SundayPopulaire: Free reading from the children’s book “Wie laut war eigentlich der Urknall” by Guillaume Duprat
workshop for children aged 7-10The sky has long been imagined as a canopy, a crystal ball, or a dwelling for gods. Throughout history and across cultures, people have come up with their own interpretations of the sky and the universe. New discoveries have continually reshaped our understanding, and many mysteries remain unsolved. Guillaume Duprat explores these themes in his book How Loud Was the Big Bang. With striking visual concepts, he reveals how humanity's view of the universe has evolved, what we know today, and what remains speculative. Join us on this journey through time to the sun and the stars! In conjunction with Rohini Devasher's exhibition, we invite you to explore the universe’s secrets and participate in a workshop where we’ll paint using solar paper and light. This event is presented in cooperation with the Krumulus bookstore.

SundayPopulaire goes green into space
Free upcycling workshop for families and children 6 and olderPlastic waste poses a significant challenge to our environment, and our workshop series is dedicated to sustainability. As part of this, we will explore the exhibition of Rohini Devasher, Deutsche Bank's “Artist of the Year” for 2024. We’ll discuss how to use solar energy effectively to conserve resources and examine everyday items that others might discard. By repurposing these materials, we will create our own planetary systems. Participants are encouraged to bring items from home, such as empty toilet paper rolls or yogurt containers, that would otherwise be thrown away. Let’s see if we can transform these discards into something out of this world!
